Unfortunately, many animals who find their way to
rescue have unusual and often heart wrenching stories leading up to their
rescue. But thanks to loving adoptive families, these stories have wonderful
endings, and Inky is on his way to a wonderful beginning. Inky was picked up
as a stray in mid October and reclaimed by his owner but a few weeks later,
Inky's owner had a change of heart and dropped him off at the shelter
claiming that they had no time for him. Lucky for Inky, we have all the time
in the world to show him that people really do care. He is a tiny little 5
year old boy, all of 14 lbs and could use a little meat on his bones. Inky
was neglected for so long that he lost the majority of his coat and came in
with a urinary tract infection, infected ears, eyes and teeth, but Inky has
now fully recovered! Inky is neutered, current on his shots, had his blood
work done, teeth cleaned and his coat has almost completely grown in!
Inky is a cool little dog! He is very devoted and loyal. Inky is potty
trained, crate trained and generally makes good decisions. He comes when
called, loves to chase balls, loves his toys and loves to go on walks. He is
an active boy and an ideal housemate!
Inky does not care
for other dogs and wants all attention to be on him, so he will placed as an
"only" dog with no other pets in the household.
